CheckMyThumbnail terms of service

By using CheckMyThumbnail (“CMT”) you agree to these terms. CMT is a free service operated by Vidstew. If you don't agree with anything below, don't use it. If anything is unclear, email hello@vidstew.com.

What CMT is

CMT analyzes a YouTube thumbnail + title combination using AI, grounded in the user's last 10 public uploads from the channel they specify. The analysis is opinion, not fact — we offer it as a useful second look, not a guarantee of YouTube performance.

Your responsibilities

• You must own (or have permission to upload) any thumbnail you submit. Don't upload other people's thumbnails for analysis without their consent.
• Don't upload illegal, infringing, or NSFW content. We'll delete those uploads on sight and may block your account.
• The YouTube channel you reference should be one you have a legitimate interest in (your own, your client's, etc.). We don't verify ownership but we expect good faith.
• Don't try to abuse the rate limit, scrape the service, or automate uploads at scale.

Free use, rate limits, and changes

CMT is free. We cap free use at 5 analyses per day, 2 per hour, per signed-in user. We may change those limits if we need to. We may add a paid tier in the future; existing free use will continue to be free.

Marketing communications

If you ticked the consent box at sign-up, we may email you about Vidstew (the producer dashboard CMT is built by) and add you to the weekly “What's epic in YouTube” newsletter. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe; we honour unsubscribes within 24 hours. If you didn't tick the box, we don't email you marketing.

AI output is opinion

The analysis is generated by an AI model. It can be wrong, biased, or outdated. Use your judgment. Don't make significant business decisions on CMT's output alone — get a second human opinion if it matters.

Liability

CMT is provided “as is.” We don't guarantee uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vidstew isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of CMT. Our total liability for direct damages is capped at $50.

Termination

You can stop using CMT anytime. We can terminate access at any time for abuse, illegal use, or breach of these terms. If we terminate your access, we'll delete your data within 7 days unless legally required to retain it.

Changes to these terms

We'll update the “Last updated” date at the top when we change anything. Material changes get an email to people on our marketing list.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction Vidstew operates from. Disputes you can't resolve by email (hello@vidstew.com) go to courts of competent jurisdiction in that location.
